Track workout today. I was thinking about solitude today. Although JPD ran with a group and conversed on the runs, running was about solitude too. There were races and training runs where the runners were left alone with their own thoughts. There are times when for whatever reason, a runner is forced to think about random things. One of your thoughts might be how much pain you are feeling in your thighs followed closely by feelings of love for your significant other and/or your children. I have to believe that the solitude was pursued to relieve the stress that comes with everyday life. It is not until the endorphins are released that the pain and stress are forgotten. It is at this point that you fall in love with your world. You love your children and your patio furniture all at the same time. We wonder why they ran, endorphins might have had something to do with it.
Another picture of the garden (taken during endorphin release). Favorite song today: Izithembiso Zenkosi performed by Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
